Wokingham Half Marathon - Sunday 24th May

 

We urgently need more help to hand out water to the 3000 runners (on their way out and on their way back).

 

The Annual General Meeting of 1st Finchampstead Scout Group will take place on Tuesday 12th May at 7.30pm at Finchbase.

More details of the meeting will be available later.

Please find below a list of jobs that we will need fulfilling within our group to be able to continue to grow and move forward.

We are always on the look out for new adults to help out.  This could be either in uniform or on the group exec.

Calling for your help with fundraising

As many of you already know, the boys and girls are now hard at work preparing their floats for the Winter Carnival on Sunday 26th November.  You will recently have received emails asking for your help with decorating the floats (and the kids), and a big thank you to those of you who have already offered your services.

On the same day, we are also hoping to run a stall selling bacon butties, but cannot do this without volunteers to help man the stall.  I know that you are all busy, but please could you spare an hour or so on the day to help.  This is an important part of our fundraising calendar - last year we raised £300, which went straight back towards funding activities for the boys and girls in our groups. The stall will be running all day, so any time you could spare would be much appreciated.

And lastly, many of you will no doubt have noticed that the Wokingham Times runs a weekly draw to donate £200 to a nominated good cause.  Please take the time to fill these coupons in and nominate the 1st Finchamsptead Scout Group.  Who knows, we may eventually be picked in the draw!  Please feel free to nominate us as often as possible.
