This Summer we are heading in a north westerly direction to the mountains of the Lake District. Basic details at the moment are as follows:

Ø Activities: Sailing, climbing, canoeing, walking and many more

Obviously, there is still lot of detail to work out but we need to know very soon how many of you will be coming along.

As you already know from Troop meetings, we are intending to run a number of teams in this year's Three Towers Hike, to be held on Saturday 17th March. Full details are on the Three Towers web site. There will also be teams from the Explorer Scouts, and even the Leaders are attempting to see if they can manage to make their way around.

We will be running training for the Three Towers on the days below. Please ask Simon () if you don't know the arrangements for any individual training day.

During our Centenary Year, the Group has a very busy programme that goes across all sections.

The Scouts had an excellent Summer Camp on the southern shore of Poole Harbour this August with 3 patrols, a set of Young Leaders and many activities.

The report back was held in Finchbase early in November, which included a preview of Summer Camp 2007 in the Lake District.

All Scouts and families are invited to join us for the Remembrance Day Parade on Sunday 12th November 2006. We shall meet outside the Memorial Hall in Finchampstead Village at 2.15. pm ready to march to the Memorial, the parade will commence at 2.30 pm and the service at the Memorial Cross will commence at 3.00 pm.

Full uniform should be worn. No jeans please, scout or dark blue trousers. It may be cold so put layers underneath the uniform. No coats unless it is very wet. Don’t forget your poppy.

The Guides, Brownies, Rainbows and local residents join us for this event and we hope you will make every effort to take part. This is one of the few occasions when the Leaders ask you to give us your full support, we expect all Scouts, Cubs and Beavers to take part in this parade.
