Nancy Savage, our former Group Scout Leader and retiring Cub Scout Leader for Badgers Pack, invited all members of the Group to a Water Activities Evening at the Waterside Centre on the banks of the River Thames tonight. Beavers and Leaders, Cubs and Scouts, all had a splashing time on the river, not many left dry. |

1st Finchampstead was out in force at the Three Towers Hike on Saturday 5th April. The hike is a hike around the Berkshire Downs, with routes of 25km for the Scout teams, 45km for the Explorer Scout teams and 70km for the Leader teams. |

The Scout Troop was out over the Easter break on Eastrek, a hike camp invented by the Leaders. In winds, snow and rain, 15 Scouts, plus a number of Explorer Scouts on an associated Duke of Edinburgh's Award expedition, went on a hike along the Kennet and Avon Canal from Bath back towards home. |

Circus Scene visited Leopards Cub Scout pack this Tuesday to finish the term with a night at the circus. Juggling, balancing and cycle riding was on th emenu and many of the Cubs found that skills which they thought were impossible can be achieved by them. |

The Cub Scouts from both packs enjoyed a fantastic camp at Runways End Scout Activity Site in Farnborough. The site was renamed Worlds End, as this year's camp theme was 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. Over 60 Cubs and Leaders enjoyed the camp with many activities and much fun. |

The Scouts had a great Summer Camp this July on the shore of Bassenthwaite Lake in the English Lake District. The weather wasn't always the greatest that we could have, but was much better than the reports of torrential rain and floods which we were receiving from further south! |
