Cubs: Bonfire Night (Badgers)

Our first meeting after half-term was the traditional, and much loved, Bonfire night.

While Senior Six built, and finally lit, an impressive fire, the RGBY Sixes each made and dressed a guy.  They gave their guys paper plate faces and had to come up with a story about why their guy needed to be condemned to the fire…

After the ritual burning of the guys, Harry led the Cubs in an enthusiastic rendition of some favourite campfire songs until the flames had died down enough for the Cubs to try to toast some marshmallows. Why is it that Cubs seem to love burnt, squidgy marshmallows?  And why is it that a couple of leaders ended up with marshmallow in their hair?
