This year’s
Finchampstead Remembrance Day Parade is on Sunday 8th November. The march to the War Memorial starts at
2:30pm from the Memorial Hall in Finchampstead - please meet there by 2:15pm. This is a really important event for the community
to remember the men and women who have given and continue to give their lives
in service of the country. The high turnout
by 1st Finchampstead Group always gets positive comments, so please
do your best to support it. Please wear full and smart uniform, including poppy – no jeans, wear blue Scout trousers! (No coats please, unless it’s raining, but make
sure your child has enough layers on beneath their uniform to keep warm).
After the
return to the Memorial Hall, there is an additional event this year. We would like you all to join us in planting
a tree near to the playing fields to commemorate 90 years of Scouting in Finchampstead.
